With sailing, leisure at sea, and marine work as its main references, the production of SEAB2® garments started with the creation of a registered inflation system that can be applied to clothing items. From this, a jacket, a vest, and overalls have emerged — which assume their usual functions, alongside being fit for use as a rescue assistant — and a desire arose to expand the line of products to ensure an all-encompassing collection, adapted to both marine and non- marine activities, characterized by quality in production.

These factors made the development of waterproof garments mandatory, and that is guaranteed by the careful planning of the construction of each piece, combined with the waterproofing of seams and a rigorous selection of materials for manufacturing. Thus the brand's philosophy is to use 3L fabrics (fabrics with three layers: a water-repellent outer face, bonded to a breathable waterproof membrane and a protective lining), giving priority to deadstock fabrics as a way to reduce the environmental impact of production.

After the creation of the garments and a meticulous process of pattern making and prototyping — all using computer programs, to reduce waste of raw materials — the most suitable accessories for each collection are developed and selected, always keeping functionality and accessibility in mind.

From the design of the pieces to manufacturing, the entire process is based in Portugal, in facilities with decades of experience in producing waterproof clothing. By having production entrusted to highly qualified professionals, combined with rigorous piece-by-piece quality control, SEAB2® is allowed to meet the standards of a collection designed for activity at sea.
